הוּא הָיָה אוֹמֵר, עֲשֵׂה רְצוֹנוֹ כִרְצוֹנְךָ, כְּדֵי שֶׁיַּעֲשֶׂה רְצוֹנְךָ כִרְצוֹנוֹ. בַּטֵּל רְצוֹנְךָ מִפְּנֵי רְצוֹנוֹ, כְּדֵי שֶׁיְּבַטֵּל רְצוֹן אֲחֵרִים מִפְּנֵי רְצוֹנֶךָ.

Do His will as your will, so that He will do your will as His
He [Rabban Gamliel, the son of Rabbi Yehudah HaNasi] used to say: Do His will as your own will, so that He will do your will as His will. Set aside your will before His will, so that He will set aside the will of others before your will.
