Tanach

Tehillim

131:1–3

I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother

1A song of ascents, by David. Hashem, my heart was not proud, and my eyes were not raised [in arrogance]; I did not involve myself in things too great and too wondrous for me.

2I have truly calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; my soul within me is like a weaned child.

3Let Yisrael hope to Hashem, from now and forever.
